​Don Quixote Character Project

This project drew imperative experience in research and critical thinking for Blender's technical workspaces for Sculpting, Texturing, Skinning and Rigging, and Animation.

This is my first complete sculpt and complex-rigged character project.

Project Goal

I wanted to be the first artist to create a fan-made animatable 3D character from Project Moon's Korean story-heavy gacha game, Limbus Company.

Challenges

This is my first ever character project with no experience in Blender.

Every tackled objective through the process of modeling, texturing, skinning and rigging, then animation, is completely new to me and needed absolute focus.

Actions

Every month, I would watch through my 200+ video playlist (500+ now) about Blender's workspaces and tutorials through creating a character in Blender, following the CGI Dreamworks Animation Studio Pipeline documentary as reference for what phase I would need to follow.

I ideated and followed-through on all the plans and deliverables of my work.

Results

My animations resulted in 60,000 views on Youtube.

This project led to me secure an internship after transferring to the University of Silicon Valley for pursuing a BA in Digital Art and Animation.
